Heavy Duty Mantel Hardware for 60-71 Mantels - Made in USA
Our 58-inch Heavy Duty floating mantel hardware with 2-inch high back bar is engineered to support solid or hollow slabs, beams, and box construction mantels, fitting mantels from 60 inches to 71 inches. Constructed of 1/4-inch thick steel with 90-degree junctions to fit precisely into mortises or dados, and featuring patented set-through construction with 360-degree welds, this hardware supports a multitude of floating mantel styles and sizes without visible support.
This hidden mantel hardware is designed to support mantels that are 2 1/4 inches to 3 inches thick, and from 7 inches to 14 inches deep. The original patented bracket is made to install on masonry, sheetrock, plaster, and paneled surfaces, and can support a maximum distributed load of up to 240 pounds when installed correctly.
The screw holes are set 1 inch on center from each end and continue 4 inches on center down the length of the hardware, with countersunk screw holes that are 3/16 inch in diameter. A set screw hole can be drilled in the outside rods to secure the mantel to the hardware, and the mantel can also be glued onto the hardware using silicone, both of which are equally effective methods, with the glue being the easiest.
