The fireplace mantel resembles a hardwood beam, but it is not a solid beam. Instead, it is much lighter with an open back and is mounted to the wall using a French Cleat system. As long as the wall anchors are secured into a stud, the mantel is remarkably sturdy.

Due to the inherent character of wood, some knots and natural imperfections may be present. We make every effort to use the best-looking wood, but these slight imperfections only add to the charm and beauty of the wood.
