The mantel ships in 3 pieces - 2 legs and 1 header - which attach easily to the header with nuts and bolts. A mitered hanger board assembly is included for easy installation, as well as a 3-piece mitered scribe molding set to hide any gaps after installation. This mantel has a 1 1/2" projection off of the wall, leaving a nice pocket behind the mantel to accommodate your tile, stone, marble, or other non-combustible material.

The product specifications are as follows: Interior Width: 50", Interior Height: 42", Width Outside Leg to Outside Leg at Base: 60", Shelf Length: 64", Shelf Depth: 8", and Overall Height: 52". The mantel weighs 46 pounds. The pearl inlay is masked so that you may easily paint or stain around it, and simply remove the mask when done.

Assembly and installation are straightforward. Attach the legs to the header and mount on the mitered hanger rail (included). However, it is necessary to purchase hardware that is appropriate for your specific mounting surface, as the hanger rail hardware is not included. For example, brick requires different mounting hardware than drywall.

The 3-piece scribe molding set, included with the mantel, can be used to finish the look and hide any gaps around the installation. The 1 1/2-inch projection behind the mantel allows for easy installation over your non-combustible material.
