Crafted from medium-density fiberboard (MDF), a composite wood commonly used in furniture, cabinetry, shelving, and decorative moldings, this mantel ships in 3 pieces - 2 legs and 1 header, with an easy nuts-and-bolts assembly.

Included in the package is a mitered hanger board assembly for simple installation, as well as a 3-piece mitered scribe molding set to hide any gaps after installation. The mantel has a 1 1/2-inch projection off the wall, leaving a nice pocket behind to accommodate tile, stone, marble, or other non-combustible materials.
